Obituary of Daniel L. Bohl

Daniel Lee Bohl, Jr., 27, of Santa Barbara passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2012. He was born on Christmas Day, 1984 in Bakers- field, CA to loving parents Dan and Monique Bohl , and was the eldest of four children. He attended Centennial High School where he was star linebacker on the football team. He was incredibly bright and was awarded a presidential scholarship for academic excellence. Daniel had so many passions and lived life to the fullest. He was a brilliant chef, a true genius in the kitchen. He loved music, skateboarding and was a voracious reader who absorbed knowledge and information easily. In 2009 he met and married his true love, Nadine Barrada. In May 2010 his daughter and joy of his heart was born: Giselle Madeleine Bohl "Gemma". Gemma was the center of her sweet daddy's world and brought him so much happiness. Daniel was compassionate and kind. He was complimentary of everyone and managed to find good in everyone he met and in every situation. He found great satisfaction in helping others. He will be remembered for his charm, his smile, his quick wit and his great one liners. He is survived by his aforementioned wife and daughter; Nadine and Gemma Bohl. He is also survived by his parents Dan and Monique Bohl and his grandparents: Melinda and Mike Klinger and Jane and Steve Noble. Daniel also leaves behind three beloved siblings: his brothers Ronnie and Adam ("Nuggett"), and a sweet sister Emmie. They adored their big brother and he loved them deeply. The family would like to thank all of their friends and all of Daniel's friends, who have shown tremendous support and love in this very difficult time. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 21st at 12:00 noon at Summerland Presbyterian Church, 2400 Lillie Avenue, Summerland, CA 93607. A Celebatory gathering will follow at Summerland Park.
