Obituary of Madelyn Burtsfield

Born June 25, 1914, in Watsonville CA to Julia and Victor Ceriale. She graduated from Santa Barbara High School in 1933 and was honored to be chosen Saint Barbara as part of one of the Fiesta celebrations. Madelyn and Roy Burtsfield were married December 14, 1939. Madelyn was predeceased by her parents, husband Roy in 1990, sister Mary, four brothers, nephews Carlo and Victor Bottiani. She is survived by her niece Beatrice Batastini, nephews Gene Ceriale and Allan Ceriale, Nancy Bottiani, Kathleen Bottiani, Judy Burtsfield, Burdette Burtsfield, and the last of the "Ceriale girls" cousin Babe Kloutis in Chicago and many grand nieces and nephews. Our well loved "Aunt Babe" had an active, happy life with her beloved Roy; camping, fishing, visiting with friends and relatives around the country. She looked forward to family reunions which were usually centered around her birthday. The family wishes to thank the staff at Casa Rhoda for the loving care she has received for the past year and a half. Please make donations in her memory to the charity of your choice or Hospice/Visiting Nurses. Rosary to be held Tuesday, May 15, 6:00 pm at McDermott-Crockett at 2020 Chapala Street. Graveside service with be on May 16 at 1:00 pm at Calvary Cemetery.
