Obituary of Lillian Edwards

Lillian Edwards, 87, of Ojai, died Wednesday March 7, 2012 at her home after a brief illness. She was born October 7, 1924 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Mrs. Edwards has been a resident of Ojai for 52 years, coming from Ventura. She worked as a Secretary with NRTA and AARP for 20 years before retiring. Her interests included dancing, gardening, travelling, church socials and family times, and she volunteered for Help of Ojai's Meals on Wheels. She is predeceased in death by her husband of 62 years, Orville "Ed" Edwards, four years ago. Mrs. Edwards is survived by her children and their spouses, Sharon and husband Seth Weintraub, of Oregon, Randy and his wife Bobbie Edwards, of Ojai, and Debra and husband Jim Sandefur, of Ojai; 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Lillian leaves us now to be with her Lord in Heaven. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 17, at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Living Christ, 190 East Roblar Drive, Ojai.
